Bob Gomez
I am a native of Colorado and a giving member of our great community since 1978. When asked, as everyone does, "where are you from?" I explain that I was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado and I grew up in Boulder- as college does that to a person. Once out of college I came straight to Chaffee County and have made this community my home. I can truly say "I am blessed every day" to be a part of our community.
At the early age of twelve, I was raised with a hammer in my hand which eventually helped me pay my way through college, framing homes during my summer breaks. I first came to the area to work at the Climax Mine where I worked underground on the 600 level as a Hangup-Timberman. As us locals know to sustain a living in Chaffee County over the years of changing economic trends, one has to wear many professional hats to sustain a happy and healthy living here.
Using my life experiences, I choose to share my knowledge of the area via real estate sales. I have held a Colorado Real Estate License since 1982, starting out working for Bill Kelly selling Phase One at Game Trails, north of Buena Vista. With that said I have seen many changes in our communities and our local real estate markets.
We live in a surreal place of beauty, with unbelievable weather. We have endless recreational opportunities just outside our doorsteps having over 80% of our county as Public Lands. Highlighted by the best home town ski mountain "Monarch Ski Area" and one of the best managed recreational rivers in the country. That’s all great but bottom line is - it’s the people that make our location the best community on the planet. My motto will always be; I live and breathe in our community, trying to make it a better place each day, treat people professionally with respect as one would wish for themselves.
